Concierge Primary & Longevity Care

PRIMARY CARE FOR THE LIFE YOU’RE STILL BUILDING

Your health deserves more than one rushed visit a year.

Living Method combines relationship-based primary care with a proactive longevity strategy. You receive longer appointments, enhanced physician access and care guided by a doctor who knows your history—not just what appears in your chart.

We care for today’s medical needs while paying attention to the patterns that may shape your health for years to come.

YOUR DOCTOR SHOULD KNOW MORE THAN YOUR CHART

Traditional primary care often leaves little time to understand the full story behind a symptom, laboratory change or health concern.

Concierge care creates space for a deeper relationship.

Your physician becomes familiar with your:

  • Medical history

  • Medications and supplements

  • Family history

  • Health priorities

  • Previous treatments

  • Lifestyle

  • Risk factors

  • Baseline laboratory patterns

  • Personal preferences

  • Long-term goals

That continuity can make medical decisions more informed, personal and efficient.

CARE FOR TODAY. A STRATEGY FOR DECADES.

Living Method brings together two essential forms of care:

Primary Care

Evaluation and management of current medical concerns, preventive needs and chronic conditions.

Longevity Care

A proactive focus on preserving function, identifying modifiable risk factors and supporting brain, metabolic, cardiovascular and physical health over time.

Longevity care does not promise to prevent every disease or extend lifespan. It creates a more deliberate strategy for protecting health and function as you age.

WHAT CONCIERGE CARE MAY INCLUDE

Membership services are defined by your individual agreement and may include:

  • Longer physician appointments

  • Enhanced access to your physician

  • Annual preventive and health-planning visits

  • Acute-care evaluation

  • Chronic-condition management

  • Medication review

  • Preventive screening guidance

  • Laboratory review

  • Coordination with specialists

  • Hospital or urgent-care follow-up

  • Nutrition and exercise guidance

  • Personalized longevity planning

  • Review of outside medical records

  • Ongoing reassessment of health goals

Membership does not guarantee that every concern can be managed remotely or within the Living Method office.

MORE TIME CHANGES THE CONVERSATION

A longer appointment allows us to move beyond:

“What is wrong today?”

and also ask:

  • What has changed?

  • What patterns are developing?

  • What risks can be modified?

  • Are your medications still appropriate?

  • Are strength, cognition or recovery changing?

  • What should we measure now?

  • What could be overlooked during a brief visit?

  • What matters most to you over the next decade?

More time does not guarantee a diagnosis. It creates more opportunity for thoughtful evaluation and shared decision-making.

ENHANCED PHYSICIAN ACCESS

Health questions do not always arise during a scheduled physical.

Concierge membership may provide enhanced communication and scheduling access for appropriate medical concerns, according to the terms of the membership.

Depending on the situation, care may involve:

  • Secure messaging

  • Telephone guidance

  • Telehealth

  • Expedited office appointments

  • Medication questions

  • Review of new symptoms

  • Coordination after an urgent-care or emergency visit

Electronic communication is not appropriate for every medical concern and is never a substitute for emergency care.

PROACTIVE LONGEVITY CARE

Our longevity approach looks beyond the absence of diagnosed disease.

We may evaluate factors connected with:

Brain Health

Cognitive concerns, family history, sleep, cardiovascular risk, metabolic health and other factors that may influence long-term brain function.

Cardiovascular Health

Blood pressure, lipids, fitness, family history and established cardiovascular risk factors.

Metabolic Health

Glucose regulation, body composition, visceral fat, nutrition, physical activity and medication needs.

Muscle and Bone

Strength, lean tissue, balance, mobility, fracture risk and the physical reserve required for healthy aging.

Sleep and Recovery

Sleep quality, possible sleep-disordered breathing, stress, recovery and their relationship with overall health.

Hormonal Health

Symptoms, medical history and clinically appropriate testing related to hormonal transitions or disorders.

Inflammation and Environmental Risk

Symptoms and exposures are evaluated using clinically appropriate history, examination and validated testing when available.

Lifestyle and Reserve

Nutrition, exercise, alcohol, tobacco, relationships, purpose and other factors that influence long-term health.

Not every patient needs testing in every domain.

PREVENTION WITHOUT FALSE PROMISES

No physician or program can guarantee that disease will be prevented.

Our goal is to:

  • Identify established risk factors

  • Recommend appropriate screening

  • Recognize meaningful changes

  • Support earlier medical evaluation

  • Treat diagnosed conditions

  • Improve modifiable health behaviors

  • Preserve physical and cognitive function

  • Reassess the plan as your health evolves

We do not treat laboratory numbers in isolation or order testing merely because it is available.

YOUR ANNUAL HEALTH STRATEGY

Your annual review may bring together:

  • Changes since your previous assessment

  • Current symptoms

  • Medication and supplement review

  • Preventive screening status

  • Vaccination review

  • Family-history updates

  • Cardiovascular and metabolic risk

  • Strength, mobility and exercise

  • Sleep

  • Nutrition

  • Cognitive concerns

  • Personal goals for the coming year

The result is a prioritized health plan—not simply a list of abnormal numbers.

Since finishing training over 25 years ago, I have had the rare privilege of practicing medicine in a thorough, unhurried fashion thanks to you.

Over the years, you have joined with me in prioritizing this "village doctor" concierge practice model where we take the time needed to optimize your health, no matter what is happening around us in our country's broken health care system.  It is this dedication that allows both of us to feel good at the end of the day, knowing that important issues have been addressed early and thoroughly, preventing more serious problems. And many years ago when you came to me with questions about supplements and holistic treatments, I began the journey to answer them, leading to board certification in the exciting field of Integrative Holistic Medicine which allows me to combine conventional medicine with the best evidence-based practices of holistic medicine. This is, without a doubt, the best way to practice medicine. Thank you for opening my eyes.

As we both know, spending time together is critical to getting to the right diagnosis the first time.  And when I have the time to call your specialists and pharmacist to coordinate your health care long after you leave my office, we are both the better for it.  I truly wish every doctor and patient could have this luxury of unhurried delivery of health care.

Personally, it is such a pleasure to be a part of your life and to ride along on your journey through graduations, weddings, pregnancies, career changes, and raising children.

And I feel you alongside me as I journey through my milestones.  I have learned so much from you, and continue to do so every day.

So my friend, here's to you:  May you live and love with joy in good health.  May you stop and relish the sweetness in life's simple moments.  And may you take them--the simple moments--and breathe them in and slow life down for just that long.  It only takes a moment to smile. You remind me of that every day.
--your doc, Alexis

A Letter to my Patients

Let's go over some details:

  • Dr. Anvekar is available by text, email, and phone 24/7, even when she is on vacation. She strongly believes that, if your health doesn't run on bank hours, your doctor shouldn't.  This easy access is a unique part of our practice and will keep you healthier as you can get your medical issues treated as they arise so you can quickly get back to work, school, and your family.

  • We're open for business. Need to come in? We will get you an appointment within a couple of business days, and when you get here we do our best to keep you off of those waiting room chairs.

  • We've got time for you and do our very best to take the hassle out of your health care experience. Our time slots are more than three times the national average. Dr. Anvekar takes the time she needs to learn about you personally, which helps to optimize your health. Then, long after you've left our office, she takes more time to coordinate your care with your specialists and pharmacies.

  • How do we do this? Two ways: we maintain a small practice size (about 1/5 of a traditional practice), and collect a monthly fee of $499. This monthly fee is in addition to any co-pays or deductible you may have, and it serves to supplement your insurance company payments so Dr. Anvekar can take her sweet time keeping you healthy in a 30-minute visit slot instead of booking patients every 5-7 minutes like her colleagues. Seeing a patient every 5-7 minutes all day may be the national average, but it just sounds crazy to us. We wish insurance companies would start to notice that it takes time to get your diagnosis and treatment right the first time, which saves them money in the long run, but until that happens, we need to collect this monthly fee from you.

  • If you are underinsured, uninsured, or have an insurance plan of which we are not providers (HMO, Cigna, or MediCal), we collect a flat fee per visit in addition to the monthly fee.

  • We cannot invite patients into our concierge practice who are insured with Kaiser due to the logistics of managing care outside of the Kaiser system.
